An ingest token is the credential an agent sends with every request, as Authorization: Bearer <token>. It decides which workspace receives the data.

Create a token

Admins can create a token in three places. All three create the same kind of token.
  • Settings, Ingest tokens tab. Enter a name and choose Create token. A blank name becomes ingest-token.
  • Connect agent card in the top bar. Mint token creates a token named “Connect agent”.
  • Setup & SDK wizard, step 3. Create an ingest token creates a token named “Setup & SDK”.
Copy the token when it appears. Closing the card or leaving the page discards it, and there is no way to show it again. If you lose it, create a new one and revoke the old one. Members who are not admins see “Ask a workspace admin to mint one” on the Connect agent card.

The token list

The Ingest tokens tab lists every token in the workspace, including revoked ones. Each row shows the name, the first 13 characters (for example agk_live_3f9a…), whether it is active or revoked, the creation date (hover to see who created it) and when it was last used, or “never used”. Last used updates on every ingest request the token authenticates, including the token check that agentegrity pro runs, unless the request is refused because the trial ended or the rate limit was reached. It tells you whether an agent is reaching the workspace even when no session has finished yet.

Revoke a token

Choose Revoke on the token’s row. Revocation is immediate and permanent. The row stays in the list, dimmed, with a revoked badge. Any agent still using the token receives 401 invalid_token and its data is not stored.

Replace a token

There is no rotate action. To replace a token without a gap:
1

Create the new token

Give it a name that tells you where it will be deployed.
2

Deploy it

Update AGENTEGRITY_TOKEN (or your secret store) wherever the agent runs, and restart the agent so it reads the new value.
3

Check it is in use

Wait until the new token’s Last used time updates.
4

Revoke the old token

Its Last used time should stop moving once every agent has switched.
Creating and revoking tokens are recorded in the audit log as token.create and token.revoke.

Keep tokens out of code

Treat a token like a password. Anyone who has it can write sessions into your workspace. Set it as an environment variable or load it from a secret store, and never commit it. The Python exporter sends the token to whatever URL you configure, so always use the https:// console URL.
