# Installation

> Install the Python library, the TypeScript packages, or the coding-agent plugins.

## Python

Agentegrity needs Python 3.10 or later. The core library has no required dependencies; each framework adapter and optional layer is an extra.

```bash theme={null}
pip install "agentegrity>=0.13.0"
```

Add the extra for your framework so the adapter's dependency is installed at a version the adapter supports:

| Extra | Installs | Use it for |
| - | - | - |
| `claude` | `claude-agent-sdk>=0.1.0` | Claude Agent SDK |
| `langchain` | `langchain-core>=0.3.0` | LangChain and LangGraph |
| `openai-agents` | `openai-agents>=0.1.0` | OpenAI Agents SDK |
| `crewai` | `crewai>=1.15.0` | CrewAI |
| `google-adk` | `google-adk>=1.18.0` | Google ADK |
| `autogen` | `autogen-agentchat`, `autogen-core` 0.7+, `opentelemetry-sdk` | AutoGen |
| `agno` | `agno>=3.1` | Agno |
| `bedrock-agents` | `boto3>=1.34`, `strands-agents>=1.0` | AWS Bedrock Agents and Strands |
| `crypto` | `cryptography>=41.0` | Ed25519 signing of attestation records |
| `llm` | `anthropic>=0.40.0` | Model-backed cortical and adversarial checks |
| `otel` | OpenTelemetry API, SDK and OTLP exporter | The OpenTelemetry exporter |
| `stats` | `scipy>=1.10` | The `wasserstein` drift metric in `CorticalLayer` (the default is Jensen-Shannon) |
| `kms` | `boto3>=1.34` | KMS-backed recovery checkpoints |
| `all` | every extra above | Development and evaluation |

```bash theme={null}
pip install "agentegrity[langchain,crypto]"
```

> [!NOTE]
>
> The CrewAI and Google ADK extras require the first framework releases with the APIs the token-usage code reads. With an older CrewAI installed outside the extra, the adapter still reports lifecycle events but no token usage.

Check the install from the terminal. `info` lists the version and which adapters can import their framework; `doctor` runs an end-to-end evaluation and prints a composite score.

```bash theme={null}
python -m agentegrity
python -m agentegrity doctor
```

## TypeScript

Each framework has its own package, and all of them depend on `@agentegrity/client`. Install the package for your framework next to the framework itself:

```bash theme={null}
npm i @agentegrity/langchain @langchain/core
```

| Package | Framework |
| - | - |
| `@agentegrity/claude-sdk` | Claude Agent SDK |
| `@agentegrity/langchain` | LangChain JS and LangGraph JS |
| `@agentegrity/openai-agents` | OpenAI Agents SDK |
| `@agentegrity/crewai` | CrewAI TypeScript (`@crewai-ts/core`, Node 22+) |
| `@agentegrity/google-adk` | Google ADK for TypeScript (`@google/adk`) |
| `@agentegrity/vercel-ai` | Vercel AI SDK |
| `@agentegrity/client` | Shared adapter, reporter and types for custom integrations |

The packages are tested on Node 18, 20 and 22. A framework can require more: CrewAI TypeScript needs Node 22, and LangChain 1.x needs Node 20. See [TypeScript frameworks](https://docs.cogensec.com/integrations/typescript.md) for each entry point.

## Coding agents

Claude Code and Codex are instrumented through their hook systems. Install the library for the `python3` on your `PATH`, then the plugin for your host:

```bash Claude Code theme={null}
pip install "agentegrity[crypto]>=0.13.0"
# then, inside Claude Code:
# /plugin marketplace add cogensec/agentegrity
# /plugin install agentegrity@agentegrity
```

```bash Codex theme={null}
pip install "agentegrity[crypto]>=0.13.0"
codex plugin marketplace add cogensec/agentegrity
# then trust the hooks once with /hooks
```

See [Claude Code](https://docs.cogensec.com/integrations/claude-code.md) and [Codex](https://docs.cogensec.com/integrations/codex.md) for configuration.

## Telemetry

The library sends anonymous, shape-only usage telemetry by default. Set `DO_NOT_TRACK=1` to turn it off. [Telemetry](https://docs.cogensec.com/telemetry.md) lists every event and property.
